Year 8 Open Day at Tamaki College

Today at Tamaki College we were lucky enough to be visited by some wonderful Year 8 students from our neighbouring schools.

 We hoped to surprise and delight them with a cool experiment called Elephant Toothpaste...

      50mL hydrogen peroxide, a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid, 3 drops of food colouring and finally (to kick-start the reaction) 10mL of saturated potassium iodide solution. Poof!
